KROB signed with GIANTS can anyone say ANTONIO PIERCE

      Watch me!

“Keenan Robinson is not Antonio Pierce.”

      • redskinsnameisheretostay - Mar 11, 2016 at 1:01 PM

Keenan is more talented and far more imposing. We’ll see if he can be the football player Pierce was for the Giants. I think he could be better.

        • hail74 - Mar 11, 2016 at 1:17 PM

Pierce was the brains of the defense, it’s why schotty liked him so much to begin with. Keenan is physical to be sure but I’ll hold off on bemoaning his loss.

He has all the tools to be successful. His biggest drawback was the injuries. Missed 28 games in four years.

        • ET - Mar 11, 2016 at 3:03 PM

Keenan has the physical tools, for sure. Can he stay healthy? Can he improve his reads and reaction times? Can he field marshal a defense as well as a Pierce or Fletcher? Those are the factors that’ll determine whether Keenan can live up to his considerable potential.

“Can he field marshal a defense as well as a Pierce or Fletcher?”

No doubt that is the defining question on Keenan and of course staying healthy is a must. If he can even been a poor man’s version of the field marshal that those two were then he’ll do quite well.

I just hope we sign at least one of these buckeyes

    Good signing.

He looks like a decent player. A mid 2nd round draft pick in 2012 who recorded 11 QB hurries to go with the 2 sacks. This is not the sexy pick many want and Rich is probably right that he’ll be more of a rotation player. An important note on Reyes is that he led all D-line at SD last season in tackles and QB hurries.

    • hail74 - Mar 11, 2016 at 1:19 PM

He’s a pass rush specialist and a perfect rotation for the rookie class that is loaded with two down players.

Looks like the iggles done sent Marky Mark to the Broncos, for a conditional draft pick.

2016 NFL comp picks out. None for us, as usual.

    • hail74 - Mar 11, 2016 at 2:45 PM

If we stay the course and let garçon, Djax or both just play out their contracts then we could get some for them. In two years.

      • bangkokben - Mar 11, 2016 at 2:51 PM

No compensatory picks because we didn’t draft them.

      • bangkokben - Mar 11, 2016 at 3:05 PM

My bad. As long as they finish their contracts, we might get something.

      • John - Mar 11, 2016 at 7:37 PM

Both here this season. One will be gone next year.

  7. ET - Mar 11, 2016 at 4:38 PM

Logan Paulsen re-signed. He might be more important for STs now that Young is gone and Hayward is iffy.

Awwww … ya know I gotta back a guy with CT roots, right? (Lose one in Pot Roast — gain one in Reyes). Kendall was a standout for the UConn Huskies (which kinda damns him with faint praise ;^} ) a few yeats back.

Kept an eye on his career with the Chargers and found him to be a pretty solid, but not stellar, player for SD.

Barry obviously knows him, so he must like what he brings to the table.

Reyes is no upgrade or anything worth mentioning at this point. If this is the plan at DE we in a world of trouble. Lets hope he is an infrequent rotation type 3rd string type player.

      • John - Mar 11, 2016 at 11:01 PM

A physical rotational player like RJF. Young to only 26 and a hard worker. Not a $100 muh million dollar bum like AH.

With Denver getting Sanchez, looks like RG3 won’t be Superstar there. Awe… LOL!!!
