We’re changing up the format of the prediction post here. I’m going to give my take and then turn it over to the fans who sent me their predictions via Twitter (@Rich_TandlerCSN) and on the Real Redskins Facebook page.

So what will happen?

The two teams appeared to be very close when they met in Week 3 and the Eagles squeaked out a 37-34 win. You have to wonder if the Redskins’ season would have taken a different path had they been able to move the ball in for a touchdown after they got it in Eagles territory with two minutes left. But what happened happened and so we have the floundering Redskins against the Eagles, who are playing for their playoff lives.

The quarterbacks are different in the rematch. Mark Sanchez has started the Eagles’ last six games after Nick Foles broke his collar bone and counting the game he finished off after Foles went out he has 10 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He’s playing OK in Chip Kelly’s QB-friendly system. And he has yet to commit a Butt Fumble.

Robert Griffin III takes over for the Redskins after Colt McCoy headed to injured reserve. Kirk Cousins had a big day in Week 3 but a late interception foreshadowed his eventual benching for failure to protect the ball.

Two things happened during that game that I don’t think will happen again. They held LeSean McCoy to 22 yards rushing on 19 carries and held the Eagles without a sack. McCoy has been playing better of late than he was early in the season and the Eagles have 28 sacks in their last seven games. In their last seven games the Redskins have been sacked 39 times. It could be a rough day for Griffin.

Eagles 28, Redskins 21

(predictions record this year 9-5)

On to what you folks had to say on Twitter and Facebook. Many were, well, of the glass half empty variety. No, make that the glass was completely empty and filling up with dust:

Here are some of the better fan predictions that came my way

A few of you think the Redskins can pull it out, although it will take a bit of luck.

IMO Eagles 38 Redskins 17. I just do not see these Redskins playing their hearts out this time unless they get mad early. Now, if the Redskins can keep in mind that it was the first Eagles game that derailed their season and try to prove to the NFL that they are not jokes, then maybe the Redskins can make it close, (Eagles 27 Redskins 24) and be set up to play a good game against Dallas!

There will be a wave of green shirts in the stands as Philadelphia moves into FedEx Field.
Sanchez will make the inexperienced Redskins secondary look like a bunch of clowns.
Lesean McCoy will go for over 200+ all purpose yards.
The play action will be working for Sanchez and Riley Cooper will get over the top atleast once.
RG3 will have a modest day, 205 yards passing 1 TD, 1 INT +1 Fumble and 54 yards rushing

    Eagles 28 Redskins 17

We move into sole possession of the #4 draft pick anything else is meaningless

Other day had gut feeling for skins if they compete like last wk….however think eagles have too much to lose and will do enough to pull out win like 24-17……

Morris goes over 1000,,, rg sacked least 4 times….however will have decent game….

Think if eagles and cowboys win this wknd then if eagles bt giants nxt wk and we bt dallas philly win div due to they being 5-1 in div to 4-2 dallas…..might b enough to knock dallas out playoffs

I expect the Redskins will be flat and awful again. However, Mark Sanchez is not good enough to blow this one out and it stays close until mid 4th quarter. Eagles 20 Redskins 13
