Open thread: Stopping Shady

LeSean-McCoy

Someone (sorry, I can’t dig through the comments and find out who) brought up the concept of an open thread, a place for you the readers to comment on whatever you think the topic of conversation should be. Since giving the readers what they want is a good way to get people to read your blog, I figured I’d accommodate.

What I’ll do is start with a suggested topic via a quote. Today it’s from Ryan Kerrigan. The quote will serve as the conversation starter; as the term “open thread” implies, you can comment on anything you’d like to.

Kerrigan talks about the challenges of facing Eagles RB Shady McCoy, who shredded the defense in the season opener.

We’ve faced all of the good ones Adrian Peterson and, last year, Marshawn Lynch but Shady McCoy has one of the best jump cuts I’ve ever seen. He’s difficult with the ball in his hands. You’ve got to get hats on the ball with him.

The floor is yours.

I’m going to go out on a limb on this one and say…maybe, actually, try to tackle him? Perhaps, knock the sh*t out of him like defenders from other teams do to RGIII?

I don’t know, that’s a pretty radical concept. I’ll have to ponder it.

Hah hah! I think the first time we played them we had a lot of missed tackles (probably supports Kerrigan’s quote about him) but you would think after a 2nd or 3rd attempt we could tackle him. I’ve heard a lot this year that tackling is a problem…maybe it is. I don’t want to be too radical…I’ll be out of character.

man if they don’t start getting lead out and stop opossing offenses, its making our offense to look bad questioning RG3 ,and there aint nothing special going on with special teams either its getting hard to watch and follow on other media when at work on breaks!!!
