Per Ryan O’Halloran of the Washington Times’ Twitter feed, the Redskins have no interest in signing running back Larry Johnson.
Some talk about the possibility came up this morning when Jim Zorn said that the team had discussed picking up Johnson, who was released by the Chiefs earlier today. There appears to be a need since Clinton Portis is likely to miss at least the next game with a concussion.
Zorn did not rule out signing Johnson and that there would be further discussions on the matter in the organization.
Apparently, those discussions took place and the team decided against bringing in the talented but troubled back.

Thank the football God’s for making the Redskins pass on Larry “over the hill” Johnson! That’s the last thing we need! Another over paid RB that doesn’t produce! If we’re going to sign ANYONE it should be a Real GM!
The Real Redskins GM and I are on the same page for the most part. I don’t put 100% of the blame on CP for his lack of production. I’ve said it before…I don’t care who you put in the back field, they will have to fight for every yard they get. Our O-line is in total despair!!!
