When a coach’s job is on the line, he can do one of two things. He can go in with the mindset that he has nothing to lose, pull out all of the stops and employ an aggressive strategy. Whenever there is a reasonable choice between playing it safe and taking a chance, go for the gusto. If this coach has to go down, he will go down fighting.
The other thing he can do is be Jim Zorn.
It’s likely that Zorn’s pink slip already had been filled out. On Sunday in Dallas he sealed the envelope, licked the stamp and dropped it in the mail box.
