Pretty good field position for the Redskins after Bush draws a taunting penalty on the punt return. They’re set up at their own 38 with another critical drive.

13:59—Three and out. The defense has to step up again, after another poor punt by Brooks, 28 yards.

13:25—The Skins are not yet out of this, but they are running out of chances. When you’re just an OK team, you have to take advantage of opportunities (thank you Capt. Obvious).

12:05—Brees gains nine on a naked bootleg to convert a third and one. That’s my favorite play that the Skins haven’t run in years.

11:30—Landry just knocked a long pass away from Henderson. He was pissed that he didn’t pick it off.

10:46—Landry knocks down a third-down pass and the Saints will punt. Antwaan Randle El with another uninspiring return.

10:40—Kelly hasn’t been in the game much since he caught that pass to convert a third down. I’d like to see him get another shot as Devin Thomas has shown that he’s still not quite ready.

10:26—A huge first-down sack for a loss of 12.

9:42—A nice toss to Cooley gets them out of it. That will be the play of the game if the Skins pull this one out.

7:40—Moss almost breaks one, but he gets tackled by a jersey. Still, a nice gain for a first down at the 23. Archives
