Taylor injury worse than indicated?

Aug 23, 2008, 10:50 PM EST

This is just reporting some third hand information here, but I’ve heard that the Redskins are concerned that Jason Taylor’s injury may be somewhat serious.

Not serious as in season-ending, but serious as in missing some of the regular season is a distinct possibility.

The famed Dr. Andrews was there and he concurred that is seemed to be a sprain, meaning that ligaments were stretched but not broken.

Actually, the way that his leg got caught up in that pile, it will be amazing if a sprain is all it turns out to be.

Actually, Rich, a tear is considered a grade 3 sprain. So technically, calling it a sprain covers most realms of a relatively serious knee injury.

Up to 2 weeks out. That’s much better.
